Drop Biscuits – Bisquick-ish

Makes approximately 16 biscuits

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Pulse together
  • 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter (cold)
  • 6 oz. milk

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Pulse dry ingredients together in a food processor
  3. Pulse in the butter and shortening
  4. Pulse in the milk (just enough to bring the mixture together).
  5. Drop approximately 1/3 cup of mixture onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 13 minutes.
