Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 – 4 cloves garlic, minced (to taste)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon salt (, or to taste)
  • ground pepper
  • 2 28oz cans cento tomato puree
  • 1 12oz can tomato paste
  • 1/2 lb bacon (optional)
  • Chopped baby portabella mushrooms (optional)

NOTE:

If making spaghetti, boil noodles for 1 or 2 minutes less.  Drain (most) of the liquid.  Add sauce to the noodle mix and return to the stove and stir until the spaghetti noodles are completely done (4 – 5 minutes).  This will flavor the spaghetti noodles with the sauce.
