Applesauce Salad – Grandma Great’s Recipe

Ingredients:

• 6 ounces strawberry jello
• 2 cups boiling water
• 1/2 cups cold water
• 2/3 cups red hot candies dissolved in boiling water
• 16 ounces applesauce
• 3/4 pkg mini marshmallows

Instructions:

1. Dissolve red hots in boiling water
2. Stir in jello
3. Add cold water
4. Add applesauce
5. Pour into 9 x 13 pan(s) (one for every 6 oz. of Jello)
6. Place in refrigerator until cool but not set (so marshmallows don’t melt)
7. Top with mini marshmallows
8. Return to refrigerator to set
